A cryptocurrency logo is about to appear on a college football field. Cryptocurrency, in plain terms, is digital money that moves on computer networks and exists outside the traditional banking system.
Ripple, the company behind the $XRP token, has agreed to place the XRP logo on the field at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium and across Florida Athletics' digital properties and events.
The XRP logo will go on the field surface itself, putting it in the sightlines of fans inside the stadium and in broadcast camera frames during games.
Beyond the stadium, it will run across Florida Athletics' online platforms and appear at department events.
