A streaming personality appeared before college-age Democrats this weekend in what critics called a Mao suit, a collarless tunic style linked to Mao Zedong and long associated with Chinese Communist Party imagery.
The clip crossed one million views after the account DSA Watch shared it and compared the speech to one by Adolf Hitler.
Hasan Piker, who carries roughly 10 million followers across internet platforms, pushed back directly on that comparison on X.
What Piker said and wore Piker addressed the 2026 College Democrats of America summer convention with a call to reject both what he called Trumpism and Democrats who, in his words, "compromise, conciliate, and betray." He also accused the party of funding ICE and Israel, cooperating with fascists, harming workers, and helping poison the planet.
