A 27-inch gaming monitor with a premium display type is on sale for the first time.
QD-OLED, which stands for quantum dot organic light-emitting diode, layers color-filtering quantum dots over a self-lit OLED panel to produce deeper blacks and more saturated colors than a standard LCD.
Alienware's AW2726DM uses that panel type and is now $319.99 at Dell, down $30 from its standard $349.99 price. What makes it notable is that the AW2726DM has not moved below its list price until now.
