Alfasigma, a privately held Italian pharmaceutical company with products in more than 100 markets, agreed to buy Nordic Group from SEVER Life Sciences through a share purchase agreement covering 100 percent of Nordic Group's shares and all subsidiaries.
No financial terms were disclosed. The deal requires regulatory clearances before it closes.
What the acquisition brings The asset most central to Alfasigma's rationale is Nordic Pharma's rheumatoid arthritis business, led by the Nordimet methotrexate franchise.
