Sterling Infrastructure, Inc. has appointed Katherine Hargis as its new Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, and Corporate Secretary. The company announced the move on October 5, 2026, with the appointment taking effect immediately.
Hargis succeeds Mark D. Wolf. Wolf held the positions of General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, and Corporate Secretary at Sterling since August 2020. The announcement was made by the company, which trades on the Nasdaq under the ticker STRL.
Prior to joining Sterling, Hargis served at Key Energy Services as Senior Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary. In that role, she advised the board of directors and executive leadership team on legal affairs, corporate governance, and enterprise compliance and ethics. She also provided leadership across corporate functions and strategic initiatives, including human capital, cybersecurity, and risk management.
Before Key Energy Services, Hargis led legal teams at U.S. Concrete in various executive capacities. Her academic background includes a law degree from Tulane Law School and a bachelor's degree in Administration of Justice from Arizona State University.
Joe Cutillo, Sterling’s Chief Executive Officer, stated that the company is pleased to welcome Hargis. Cutillo said her experience in governance, compliance, and mergers and acquisitions will strengthen the leadership team as Sterling executes its growth strategy. He added that her proven leadership capabilities are expected to help the company continue creating long-term value for shareholders.

The company’s operations are primarily located in the Southern, Northeastern, Mid-Atlantic, and Rocky Mountain regions of the United States, as well as in the Pacific Islands. Its E-Infrastructure Solutions segment provides site development and electrical services for data centers, semiconductor fabrication facilities, and manufacturing plants. The Transportation Solutions segment handles projects for highways, roads, bridges, airports, ports, rail systems, and storm drainage. The Building Solutions segment focuses on residential and commercial concrete foundations, parking structures, plumbing services, and surveys for new single-family homes.
