Roivant CEO Matt Gline challenged the notion that artificial intelligence will cure all diseases, offering skeptical remarks during a recent industry event. The comments were shared in the latest edition of STAT's AI Prognosis newsletter, which covers artificial intelligence in health care and medicine.
Gline, speaking at last week's STAT Summit, addressed Dario Amodei's idea regarding AI's potential to eliminate disease. He characterized the biotech sector as a "woodchipper built to ingest souls and shred them." Additionally, Gline predicted that Amodei would discover that consumers do not want to "go to an AI restaurant and eat an AI cheeseburger."
The newsletter notes that these quotes were among the highlights from the STAT Summit. Viewers can watch Gline and other STAT Summit sessions on demand. STAT also noted that its subscriber discount code for 40% off remains valid for the on-demand content.
