A senior leadership change at an asset manager, a firm that pools and deploys client money on behalf of investors, is coming at Invesco Ltd. (NYSE: IVZ). Andrew Lo, Senior Managing Director and Head of Asia Pacific, will retire on March 31, 2027, after 32 years with the firm. Marty Franc, a 13-year Invesco veteran, will take over the same title and responsibilities during the first quarter of 2027.

Invesco disclosed the change August 31, 2026, through an 8-K, the SEC filing public companies use to report material events to shareholders. Lo spent more than three decades shaping Invesco's Asia Pacific presence, work that included building joint ventures in China and India that Invesco says are significant contributors to its overall business. The announcement credits him with helping establish Invesco as a leading investment manager in the region.

His departure from daily operations will not sever those ties. Lo will serve as Chairman Emeritus, Asia Pacific, continuing to sit on the boards of both joint ventures while providing strategic counsel to regional and global leadership. He will also help maintain the client and partner relationships he spent decades building across the region.

What Franc carries into the role

Franc has more than 30 years in asset management, 13 of them at Invesco. He is based in Hong Kong and has overseen several key businesses across Asia for the firm, including Australia, Greater China, Southeast Asian markets, and the firm's institutional client strategy. The 8-K does not identify the employers where he worked before joining Invesco.

Andrew Schlossberg, Invesco's President and Chief Executive Officer, said Lo's record is defined by the relationships he cultivated across the region and the people he developed over his career. Schlossberg added that Invesco is fortunate Lo's counsel will continue after his retirement. On Franc, Schlossberg said he has earned the trust and respect of colleagues across the organization and brings regional expertise together with a deep knowledge of Invesco's culture.

Lo and Franc will work together over the coming months to prepare for the handover. As of June 30, 2026, Invesco managed $2.5 trillion in assets under management across more than 120 countries.
