military announced Sunday that it conducted a lethal strike on a vessel in the Caribbean, killing two people and leaving six male survivors, as part of the Trump administration's ongoing campaign against what it calls narco-terrorist organizations.
Southern Command said the operation was carried out at the direction of Marine Corps Gen. Donovan, the commander of USSOUTHCOM, against a vessel the military described as operated by Designated Terrorist Organizations.
The strike brings the total death toll from such operations — which began in September — to more than 200.
