A data center is, in plain terms, the physical building where the servers and storage that power digital services sit. trade around building and operating them is slowing, and the reason is not weak demand.

In this election year, the obstacles to maintaining the country's lead in this market are real, and they are getting harder to navigate. That framing separates this from a standard market correction.

When demand weakens in a capital-intensive industry, pipelines thin, projects slip, and the situation resets on its own. That is not what is happening here.
