Law enforcement confirmed there were no gunshots, despite reports circulating that night, and one officer was struck without suffering serious injuries.
Wisconsin State Fair Park Police, backed by officers from Milwaukee and West Allis, moved onto the grounds as fights broke out and separate groups tried to force entry without authorization.
Milwaukee Police District 3 also sent its Major Events Response Team, along with mounted patrols, bicycle units, and drones. Officials declined to specify how many officers were deployed, citing security protocols.
