Red Sea shipping, the cargo traffic moving through a critical maritime chokepoint linking Europe to Asia, came under attack from Yemen-based fighters.

Saudi Arabia intercepted two ballistic missiles launched from Houthi-held territory and then struck back against the militia's positions inside Yemen, according to Greek security sources who spoke with Reuters.

Those same sources described the exchange as part of a second front in the broader Iran conflict. Who the Houthis are The Houthis are an Iran-backed armed militia operating out of Yemen.
