An acquisition, where one company purchases another and absorbs its team, brought the presentation startup NextSlide inside OpenAI earlier this year.
The deal went undisclosed until this week, when NextSlide founder Ahmed Beshry announced it on LinkedIn. No financial terms have been made public.
NextSlide built software with a clear brief: take a user's input, whether a text prompt, a collection of notes, an uploaded document, or research material, and return a polished, editable slide presentation.
Beshry described what the product was meant to address. Building a compelling presentation has traditionally required hours of work, design experience, or both.
