A blockchain project is proposing to shut down the chain it built.
Harmony wants to sunset its layer-1 blockchain, meaning it would stop running the independent network that processes its own transactions, and move its ONE token to Ethereum ($ETH) instead.
The proposal comes weeks after an exploit that led to plans to discard 109,000 transactions. What the proposal covers Layer-1 and layer-2 describe how blockchains relate to each other.
