Google has released its new Gemini 4 Argon model, stating that it is designed to compete with leading artificial intelligence systems in the industry.
The company asserts that Argon provides frontier reasoning and improved performance for complex workflows. Google also claims the model reduces hedging, repetition, and common cliches found in AI chatbots.
According to Google, Argon outperforms rival models, including GPT-6 Astra, Claude Fable 5.1, and Claude Opus 5.5.
These performance claims cover a range of benchmarks such as coding, cybersecurity, science, finance, and law. The company reports that it is already using Argon internally.
