A GPU, the processor inside a device that renders everything visible on screen, just picked up a capability that Arm's mobile chips have not carried before.
After five years of development, Arm has built an AI gaming graphics accelerator into its Mali G2-Ultra NX GPU.
That processor launched today inside the Xiaomi 18 Fold's custom Xring O3 chip, giving mainland China first access to British technology that Arm says could bring PC-style gaming visuals to phones without increasing power consumption.
