Ethereum developers to trim 66 Hegotá proposals before the upgrade begins

Sixty-six improvement proposals are under review ahead of Ethereum's next upgrade, and the developer community plans to narrow that field before work gets underway.

An improvement proposal is a formal technical specification any developer can submit to suggest a change to the protocol.

The upcoming upgrade is called Hegotá, and its stated goal is to add more native privacy to applications on the $ETH network.

Native privacy, in this context, means privacy functionality built into the base Ethereum protocol rather than layered on top of it by application developers.
