The Philadelphia Eagles' first kickoff return touchdown of the NFL season was erased on Sunday due to penalties committed by both teams during the play.
The incident occurred on the opening kickoff of the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. Eagles kicker Jake Elliott kicked the ball 55 yards to the Jacksonville 10-yard line.
Jaguars returner Josh Cameron returned it 90 yards for a touchdown, marking the first such score of the season. However, officials flagged multiple infractions on the play.
The touchdown was nullified because the Eagles lined up in an illegal formation and Jaguars linebacker Branson Combs was called for holding. The play also resulted in two player ejections.
