A deliberate arm-grab with less than 10 seconds left in the first half produced the sharpest moment yet in the growing on-court rivalry between Paige Bueckers and Caitlin Clark on Thursday night.
A "foul to give" is when a team can commit one intentional foul before crossing the threshold that sends the opponent to the free-throw line; the Dallas Wings had that margin available and used it.
Clark responded by firing the ball hard down the court near Bueckers before both teams headed to the locker room, and Dallas closed out a 91-85 victory over the Indiana Fever.
The sequence started with Clark in possession and Bueckers guarding her. Bueckers reached in and wrapped Clark's left arm, trying to stop the possession before the second quarter expired.
