Climbing the loyalty ranks on a crypto exchange just got less demanding on Binance.
A VIP tier is a status level that exchanges assign based on how much a user holds in their account or how much volume they trade, and higher tiers typically mean lower transaction fees.
Binance, whose native token trades as $BNB, announced Tuesday from Abu Dhabi that it is cutting the wallet asset requirement for its VIP 3 level and counting over-the-counter spot trading toward a user's tier status.
What Binance actually changed The VIP program runs on two inputs: assets held and volume traded. Binance lowered the Wallet Assets threshold required to qualify for VIP 3, one of the program's intermediate levels.
