Anchorage Digital opens institutional access to Frgmnt's fUSD stablecoin

A stablecoin is a digital currency built to hold a fixed value, typically pegged at one dollar per coin.

Anchorage Digital, the US federally chartered crypto bank, has opened that product category to institutional clients through its custody platform, covering fUSD, a stablecoin issued by Frgmnt.

The four functions available on the platform span the full lifecycle of a position. Minting creates new fUSD coins. Redemption works in reverse: an institutional holder converts fUSD back into the underlying asset.

Staking commits coins to a protocol, a process that typically supports network operations. Holding keeps existing coins on deposit inside the bank's custody infrastructure.
