Watauga police responded to a suspicious activity report after a visitor wearing a Joe Biden mask ate a banana at a homeowner's doorstep. Officers reviewed doorbell camera footage and determined that no criminal offense had occurred, though the department issued a warning that such pranks can lead to dangerous confrontations.

The incident took place at approximately 8:05 p.m. on Oct. 18. Video from the home's security camera shows the unidentified individual approaching the residence wearing a mask resembling the former president. The person was also wearing a T-shirt with the word "FREEDOM," which is similar to apparel associated with Charlie Kirk and Turning Point USA. The visitor ran their fingers over the camera lens twice before consuming a banana through the mask and walking away.

Watauga police stated that officers found no evidence of a crime after reviewing the video at the scene. A search of the surrounding neighborhood yielded no sign of the masked visitor, and the person's identity remains unknown. The department noted that while they are aware of social media posts describing similar sightings, no additional reports involving this specific individual have been made directly to police, and officers have not identified any related incidents.

Although no charges were filed, authorities cautioned that behavior intended to generate laughter can have serious consequences. The department reminded the public that actions perceived as threatening can result in dangerous confrontations and potential serious injury. Police urged residents to contact law enforcement regarding concerning behavior rather than engaging with individuals directly.

Officials added that residents should use sound judgment when interpreting actions meant as humor, noting that such stunts can inadvertently alarm neighbors. Based on the available information, police said their assessment remains unchanged, confirming that no criminal offense occurred.
