The short version: Strive bought 1,800 bitcoin ($BTC) and moved into fifth place among every publicly traded company ranked by how much of the cryptocurrency it holds on its corporate balance sheet, a position called a bitcoin treasury, which in plain terms means holding bitcoin as a primary corporate asset. The purchase also prompted TD Cowen, the investment bank, to raise its price target for Strive shares, which trade under the ticker $ASST.

A price target is what a bank's research analyst believes a company's stock should be worth per share. When that figure goes up, the analyst's model is assigning more value to the company than it did before. TD Cowen lifted that number for $ASST after Strive's 1,800 BTC buy.

TD Cowen also revised its forecast for Strive's total bitcoin holdings. The bank now expects Strive to close 2026 with 27,156 BTC. That is nearly 4,300 more than TD Cowen had previously projected for the same endpoint.

The 1,800 BTC purchase is a completed transaction. The 27,156 BTC figure is TD Cowen's projection of where Strive will stand by year-end. One is history. The other is a single investment bank's forecast.
