The Food and Drug Administration has granted priority review to infigratinib, an oral treatment from BridgeBio for children with achondropasia, a common form of dwarfism. An approval decision for the drug is expected by Feb. 4, 2027.
In related industry news, Japan’s Shionogi acquired the U.S.-based biotech IntraBio for $2 billion. IntraBio makes an approved drug that treats the neurological symptoms of two rare diseases.
Separately, Arrivent Biopharma reported that its experimental treatment for exon 20-mutated lung cancer failed to delay tumor progression in a Phase 3 study.
